How to get here

Create-ahh is accessible by car and public transport.

Train

The nearest train station to Drefach Felindre is Carmarthen.

You can buy cheap advance tickets from the Arriva Wales ticket site. Sometimes it is more economical if you buy two tickets for a single journey (e.g., Carmarthen to Cardiff, Cardiff to Bristol), which is a bit of extra bother, but worth it if you are on a budget!

You can download the Arriva Wales timetable (valid until 3 May Dec 2014) here.

Coach

Coach services run by both National Express and Megabus go to Carmarthen.

The Megabus is pretty ineffective time-wise because it gets in to Carmarthen around midnight, and leaves at 3.30AM! So unless you have a base in Carmarthen it is not a great way to travel (if it is amazingly cheap!)

National Express is a bit more sociable, leaving London at 12pm, arriving 5.20pm (but often late running!) The Carmarthen to London bus leaves 11.15am.

Local Bus

Once you get to Carmarthen you will need to catch the 460 bus to Drefach Felindre.

To download the 460 Carmarthen-Drefach Felindre-Cardigan Bus timetable please click here.

Please note that bus services to and from Drefach Felindre do not run on Sundays and the last bus is 18.05 from Carmarthen, 18.40 from Cardigan.

Taxi

If you are arriving later than 18.05 in Carmarthen, a taxi will cost £35-40 before 10pm, and £45-50 after 10pm.

Bicycle

If you are feeling adventurous and want to cycle, we are conveniently situated off Route 47 and Route 82. We are also happy to offer touring cyclists board and breakfast if you are exploring this part of the world.

Mini-buses for special events

For special events we can organise mini-bus transport to take people to and from the mill.

Car

For those travelling along the M4 corridor getting to Carmarthen is easy, M4, then A48. Once in Carmarthen, get on the A484 towards Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn. You'll be on this road for 25 mins or so then reach the village of Saron. Take the left by the Llwyndafydd (Monroe's) pub.

After a mile you'll see a graveyard on both sides of the road and the sign for Drefach Felindre on the left. Take this left next to the sign (it's a tight turn).

After 10 or so houses the road splits. Take the right, going downhill on the stony track. There is a rusty bicycle hanging from a tree that says 'Melin Dolwion'. Follow the track round, you will see a big wooden gate and an open garage - that's us!

From Aberystwyth take the A487 to A486.

From mid-Wales take the A489, A470, A44 and A487 to A486.
