The latest visitors to Melin Dolwion were Bristol/London-based trio Carriages (featuring Markland Starkie, Benjamin Owen and Mark Simms). The first ever Challenge of Simplicity weekend ran by Maggie took place at Melin Dolwion at the end of May 2015. This weekend we came together to explore Learning, Transforming and Technique. People travelled from London, Newport (South Wales), York, Bristol and Portugal to try out ideas and share knowledge. As one participant reflected, it was ‘epic.’ The atmosphere we created helped support experimental practices and those attending felt like we could do it again next year… …perhaps with more people who also desire different ways to encounter ideas and learning.
